This book was so bad. Rusty, Melly, Carey, and James were terrible characters that just didn’t fit together. This book was so surface level and the romance felt forced. I’m supposed to believe this all happened over the course of a week? And what was up with the barely existent police investigation?! I was so close to DNF but just ended up skimming the last 50%. Cute cover wasted on a poorly written story. :/

Christina Lauren never disappoints me. I was immediately invested in the characters and their story. The writing and banter with the main characters was great and although you know from the beginning of the book something happens that involves the police, I never guessed it until it was revealed.
