This book is a perfect mixture of drama, comedy and romance. The characters and the story was extremely well developed, the book read like a movie script. Carey is my new favorite heroine and James is perfect for her; the couple reminded me of Kate and Joey from Mr Kate on YouTube. James and Carey had the perfect amount of balance between banter and quipyness. The story just happened organically, nothing in the plot seemed forced. Loved it, definitely will re-read it again cover-to-cover! 100/100.

P.S even the acknowledgements at the end were fun to read!

3.5 - Predictable but fine. Bumped to 4 stars bc well written and easy read.

Cute and enjoyable!

If Chip & Joanna Gaines were duplicated and flipped into liars, mean, cheating, money and fame hungry people they would be Melissa and Rusty Tripp.

Funny back story about a couple who shouldn’t be together and how they brought two people together.
fast-paced

This was the most obvious book. I still enjoy Christina Lauren books but this missed the mark for me. It was obvious, way too slow and also way too fast at times and the story didn't really develop as I would've liked.

As a civil engineer, I got a little cranky when they wrote that the male main character was going to be a civic engineer....
slow-paced
Strong character development: No

This was pretty underwhelming. The whole police interrogation reveal was pretty anticlimactic. And the two MCs don’t really seem like there’s a whole lot going on between them but they love each other? Should’ve just DNFd this one.

This book was...obvious. I felt like I new exactly who the designer couple was supposed to be, and I could guess 80% of the story in the first ten pages. It wasn’t as clever as some of their other work. eh.

Forever Christina Lauren. Another fantastic read with lovely characters, page turning writing and love. Always the best. Thank you ladies!
