It turns out her new boss (and the bar owner), Trent, has a son in her kindergarten class. Sparks fly and the chemistry is off the charts between the two MCs. Okay, so, first off...this is not an enemies to lovers IMO. The "hate" is resolved within the first 50 pages and continues as opposites attract/morally worthy. with that being said I enjoyed the heck out of this book. Gage adds an element of laughter to it that is much needed at times. The family elements were well done on both character's sides. I would have liked a bit more depth to Eden and a wee bit more with Trent but that's me pulling hairs and does not affect the enjoyment I got from reading it. The plot twist was great it got a jaw drop and gasp out of me.

I am enjoying the re-designed covers being released with the detailed sprayed edges. I can't wait to pick them all up!

Trent and Eden

Wow..when you get to that one letter and realization hits..wow!

Eden, the sweet teacher at the local school/church needs to find another job. You ask why? Well, her sister stole the money from her and their father and the church where Eden worked. They got betrayed and Eden is trying to help her father keep the place afloat. So she is at the local club looking for another job.

Trent is the local club owner and looks over to see his next job candidate. He knows instantly that his club is no place for Eden. He tries to get rid of her but no matter what he throws at her, Eden stands her ground and ends up with the job.

This read very long to me but the details will be vague. I do not want to spoil the story. You have to read it. So much of this story is good vs evil and are you your past? For Trent, his past haunts him and he believes he will never be better than his sins of the past. But is there a different side? This was quite beautiful overall. So many emotions as the story dives in. Definitely recommend!
