I did NOT see that plot twist coming.
Trent & Eden def have that soulmate type of love.
Also gage was precious.
But I can’t give this 5 stars because I was triggered af by how many times Eden (the fmc) calls her dad.. daddy

I first want to start off by saying that I Love A.L. Jackson's writing!!
But this one fell a little short for me, I enjoyed it just not as much as some of her other books. I think this book could have been a lot better for me if Trent was more “Actual bad guy” instead of “In the past I was a bad guy & now I’m not but I kind of am”. It was like it was trying to be a Dark Romance wrapped in a dramatic romance blanket lol
Tropes:
this one was a bit of a struggle to start for me. I just didn't connect with the characters the way I like to. But it definitely got much better as the story progressed. A good twist at the end. And the narration was wonderful. Connor and Desiree are what kept me listening when I was having trouble at the beginning.

And this scraping and over and over repeated sentences? This dramatic and again REPEATED sentences?
This self pity all the time?
I didn‘t even feel the connection between these two. It was more like insta lust. I didn‘t even feel the smutty scenes because of this writing and REPETITIVE style…
Don‘t want to waste more time of my life.
