Overall I loved the story. I nearly couldn’t keep reading because of the way it was written though. Every sentence was a half thought-never a complete sentence. It made them sound dumb and uneducated and really made me annoyed. He sounds like a brut just grunting few word responses. It was definitely insta love but the MC story was great and had me on my toes. I wish it wasn’t over in just two seconds. I think it could’ve easily been a 2 or 3 book story if it went into the MC more. The spice was minimal and quickly glossed over which I didn’t mind. But again the insta love and the things they said to each other was just too cringe sometimes. But still love them.

This book was amazing, you could feel the love these two had for eachother the burn they had. This book made me smile many times and I had to fan myself a couple times too.

Based on the insane amount of sentence fragments and the way the MMC thinks and speaks I believe this is secretly a “time travel caveman who discovered the concept of poetry” romance

I cannot give this book a higher rating b/c the writing frustrated me.
Phrases like 'my reason" repeated through out and took me out of the flow of the story.
The back story of the Trent, the H is depressing AF. But you can deal with it.
What gutted me is the backstory of the sister of the h, Eden. UGH. Actually, I wanted a story all about Harmony the h's sister. She sounded troubled, tortured but ultimately could have found redemption but that's not how the dice rolled.
The aftermath of the pivotal moment in the book and the unveiling of the story behind why the h's sister did what she did was heartbreaking, but not fully explored. The H and h don't fully address it
This sister-sister / sibling drama is a trigger for me and this one was SAD AF so you've been warned.

I loved this book so much. Eden was amazing, the pace of the story was very well-balanced for me, and I just loved everything about it. I've been on a reading slump lately because nothing could catch my eye, but this book got me hooked. It hurt a lot, not gonna lie, but it was something that made me fell alive at the same time. Because I was invested in how the characters would be able to move past the hurt, move past the pain and find their hea.
I loved this book. And it seems like a very long time since the last time that I loved a book like this, so thank you, A. L. Jackson because you gave me something wonderful.
