I absolutely loved the concept of these books but beware this book is extremely dark and goes into extreme detail about rape and murder.
Lana and Logan were so perfect for each other and the growth they both have was so amazing to read.
The thriller aspect of the book was so well executed and the major plot twist at the end of the last book was shocking and I was in disbelief.

Lana and Logan are certainly a mismatched pair. The way they meet by the offchance and end up on a such a horrific journey together, is so twisted but weirdly in the best way! I have to admit that as more and more unravels in what took place 10 yrs ago I started to get a bit confused with all the details and people involved. But the underlying revenge and outcome made sense, as much as it could in a situation like this, to make this whole series weirdly enjoyable. The way this author weaves together a love story with an active true crime scenario is mind boggling. Also, that epilogue!!! <spoileof The four of them living together in Greece, a cat named Bennett, Jake and Hadley together then Lana having her annual killing to rid the world of another monster! Absolutely twisted, amazing and just W O W!
LOTS of trigger warnings with this one and very VERY graphic details so tread carefully with this series if you are sensitive to blood, abuse and weapons.

I'm gonna miss Lana and Logan so much! I feel like this would be a really great tv show, I'm thinking like a mix between Dexter and Bones.
Do yourself a favor an read this whole series. I couldn't put it down once I started.

- I really enjoyed this series - I love how fast paced it was
- I was unexpectedly welling up at the thought of Lana dying
- I didn’t think I would side with Lana but I did, I just wanted her to avenge her own justice whilst living the future she deserved
- Lana and Hadley were my favourite characters - lIved their funny bickering/banter and how they developed a friendship.
- I wasn’t expecting Jake’s father to be revealed as the original killer, but thank god they included his surname because I would’ve not remembered who he was based on his first name alone
- There were some characters I found hard to place and remember who they were
- Gutted there won’t be a series because of the authors death

Engaging series and well written, but torture justice is not my kind of genre I've discovered.
As I've said throughout the series, enjoyed the criminology and the complications of the FBI & secret, wanted vigilante relationship. I liked how it had me questioning the morals and justice of the whole situation Lana was in and what really was 'right.' Good characters, though was more fond of some of the side characters such as Hadley more appealing. I wish Lana and Logan's attraction had a little more substance outside of 'I don't know why and it shouldn't work, but I'm instantly attracted to you and now we need to be together forever.'
***MAJOR SPOILER***

You kind of have to suspend your disbelief a little bit, because Logan's character kinda just flips a switch in the beginning. Like when he finds out initially he lashes out at Lana and has angry sex with her and handcuffs her to a bed because he's just so freaking upset. At that point, he believed that she was a proxy killer and then when he finds out she's actually Victoria Evans and she actually has a connection to the small town he just flips a switch, and all of a sudden his anger dissolves because he finds out Lana's not a proxy killer as if that supposed to make a difference or something; she's still killing people dude.🤣 I don't know. I don't feel like the author executed that part well.
But overall, I still enjoyed this book. I loved the twist.
