4.5 Stars. Lilah and Shane have been co-stars of a hit CW-esque show for the past nine years. The only problem is they hate each other. They used to love each other but after their brief affair in season one ended they have been phoning it in on the show and avoiding each other. Now in the final season they are forced to come to terms with the past and their continued attraction to one another.

I loved Ava’s last book so I was really looking forward to this one and it did not disappoint. As someone who watched way too much CW in my teens and loves celebrity relationship drama this book really spoke to me. I really liked both Lilah and Shane. Both were complex and had very clear needs and motivations. I liked that the story was told out of order as it kept the pace moving. It was a book that i read slowly and savored. I will say that while I happy about the ending, it wasn’t as satisfying as I hoped it would be, but it’s hard to make a celebrity romance fully satisfying because there are so many external factors. I really hope we get more books from Ava.

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this! I appreciated seeing the growth in their relationship as they matured and healed. 4 stars instead of 5 because the ending felt rushed.

Thank you NetGalley and Random House for the early copy!

Celebrity and second chance romance is the the PERFECT combo and I think Will They or Won't They executed it super well! I was a big fan of Ava Wilder's How to Fake it in Hollywood, so I was so excited when I got this ARC!

Will They or Won't They is about Lilah and Shane, two young actors who appear alongside each other in what becomes a massively popular TV show. The instantly connect but something happens after the first season that sours their relationship and leaving the two costars to absolutely despise. After a few seasons, Lilah decides to leave the show to pursue other projects, but they're both thrown when she returns many years later for the show's final season.

I really enjoyed mostly everything about this book! I loved all the tropes that were included, the characters were fun, the banter was hilarious, and I liked that it was dual timeline (kind of) without jumping around too much. My ONLY complaint with the story was the reason they broke up to begin with. I think with second chance storylines, the "break up" is incredibly important and has to be believable to why these two characters stayed apart for so long and I don't think the reason behind Lilah and Shane hating each other was believable. I understood one side of it... but I genuinely don't see Lilah's reasoning for harboring the grudge that she did. BUT beyond that, I truly loved and enjoyed this book!

Well, I’m officially a celebrity romance fan now. I can’t get enough of the push and pull between Shane and Lilah (this title is so perfect for them btw). And even though they hate each other (so much that the producers send them to couples counseling), there is still an attraction. I love the tension this creates, how they explore these feelings, and how they learn to heal from the past.

Wilder does a fantastic job at writing characters with emotional maturity, while still providing them room to grow within the romance.
