Agatha is such a delight to read. Got me through my DC to Seattle flight no problem

This one more of an adventure novel and it was tons of fun! Tuppence and Tommy are #relatable, all they want is money for food

I'd never read this one (the genisis of the Tommy and Tuppence team) although I read many of the others in the series, many years ago. Lots of fun, really cheesey and silly, a good contrast to the more seriously written Poirot stories.

I haven't read Agatha Christie in ages. I think this is the first Tommy and Tuppence mystery. They have always been my favorite Christie detectives.

Comical, cute, and entertaining.

I don’t know that I actually liked either main character, but this book got pretty good in the last quarter.

Great book! as always. **spoiler alert** I'm starting to think that Mrs. Christie hated lawyers and communists, fun!

Agatha Christie never fails in her stories to confound the reader (ie. me). Nice to have a bit of a love story included in this one. Never figured out who-dun-it and was surprised in the end.

Honestly if it hadn't been for the plot I'd have given this five stars, but there are soooo many plot holes you could use this book as a colander. The whole plot twist as to who Mr Brown is was really fun and quite well done but the rest of it... just makes no sense. But! The characters and the adventures are SO MUCH FUN that to be honest I didn't really care and thoroughly enjoyed the book anyway. Tuppence is a delight, Tommy is perfectly adequate, and I loved Julius, he's so much fun! Audiobook narrated by the dude who played Hastings in the Poirot television series and he does it well.

This book is absolutely delightful in every way. If you are not reading it right now, you have made a terrible mess of your life. You should go rectify that.

Hm. I don’t have many thoughts about this story. Most of the time, I enjoyed the scenes more than the story's plot. The created scenes were so detailed and interesting that you can imagine yourself in the scene and the best thing is I never get bored with the descriptive details.
