Very interesting formatting - I can’t say I’ve ever read a book like this before. Despite disliking several key characters, I found their stories fascinating and really loved the way information and the “truth” was revealed to us. It was interesting to see how important image and public perception were to Andrew and the lengths he would go to to control it and create his own reality. The idea of memories and how they’re formed was also really interesting to me. I found Ida forming memories from photographs, for example, to be really relatable. I can definitely see why this was at the top of so many lists and I’m very glad I read it. It was not at all what I had been expecting.

This book is so phenomenally well-executed. I was worried it would become repetitive, but instead it was engrossing and delectable when little details popped up again in a slightly skewed form. I loved the different approaches to telling the story, how the full(er) picture came together, and the still lingering bits that emphasize we'll never know someone completely.
