First reread in several years, but I have probably reread this run as much as any other. It still holds up and remains one of the best x-men runs. This second trade picks up some threads of Jason Aaron’s Wolverine series, and some of them will go on to be reused by Remender in Secret Avengers. This team had so many interesting dynamics. Fantomex and The World, two of my favorite creations from Grant Morrison’s New X-Men, take central focus here, and the way Deathlok is interwoven is seem less. Remender also made me like Deadpool. The art is fantastic and Dean White is the glue that holds everything together.

A very disappointing follow-up to the first volume. The story is a bit of a convoluted mess. DEathloks from the future battling...Deathloks from the future because of a fictional bad guy in the fictional world that Fantomex keeps?

The interpersonal growth between the characters is interesting but the plot is awful. I would skip this volume and go straight from The Apocalypse Solution to The Dark Angel Saga.

Incoherent. Irritating. Uninteresting. Repetitive. And just about unreadable. And why would anyone want to read it. The characters are all awful. The villains are all awful. And with multiple worlds and/or time-travel it's not going to matter anyway. yuck.

I really enjoyed the Deadpool parts of this book. I wish Blind Al would show up though. :c

Remender and Ribic is a great duo and I hope they do another x-men book. After the events from the previous volume, this book pays homage to the old school time travel/alt reality stories of the past without alienating the reader. It started with a simple plot and ended with "ahhh ok" feel (the ending was "oh snap" to me). I also enjoyed the usual battle part that I usually enjoy in x-books and with an art that I prefer and was constant (style stayed the same) it was a great read for me. With the legendary Deathlok making his guest appearance and the superb characterization of each members, esp Deadpool and Fantomex , Marvel should stick to writer artists for more than 12 issues. Thanks Remender and Ribic!
