I literally read this book because everyone recommended it in the why choose genre and I ended up finishing it just to hope it got better, but it didn’t. Maybe the other books in the series are better, but I just couldn’t wait to be done with it.

The entire time the FMC came off as very immature and not once was it mentioned what her gift was (and I still don’t understand) until the last 5 pages. I understand wanting to leave a reader hooked, but it just felt like it dragged on. I still don’t understand the plot of this book. Again, maybe because I need to read the rest, but I’ve never read something so fast because there was literally nothing going on. I do not plan to finish the rest of the series at this point.
