Finally finished it! Yay! Only took me about a month.. I kept putting it down to read other books because I just couldn't get back into it.. The characters bored me and the story bored me which was unexpected since I loved the first book. Will read the next one but I won't get my hopes up for it..

Better than the 1st book, more entertaining :-) again, its very similar to Sylvia day's crossfire series. But I'm anticipating book 3 :-)

i thought the second book couldn't get any better, it brought me to tears, some of sadness and some of happiness. Most of all it made me smile.
This book is great. It has a great plot line and i have fallen in love with the charecters. i can tell you this for sure, the book is not boring; it has drama, romance and definitely Full of spice.

Meh... This is just cliches all over the place. I did not like this book, the characters annoyed me so, so much and the plot was nonexistent.
I mean a story about a billionaire with a kinky side who falls deeply in love with a gorgeous insecure girl, yada, yada, yada.... We've all heard that kind of story a zillion of times, so it has to be mind-blowing to overcome some other amazing books with the same theme.
I can't read the last book, I tried but this is just boring the crap out of me. I'm not saying that the book is awful because it isn't. But for me it would have to be more dark, and emotional and angst all over the place. And most of all no more cliches!

Go ahead and read it, it might take your breath away the love of Nikki and Damien, for me it just made yawn.

Sex, Lies, and Murder Charges

I love this trilogy! So many secrets, so many lies, and so much heartbreak as a result... but do NOT forget all of the hot and super steamy sexy times. Wildfires are already a problem in LA but Damien and Nikki are poised to ignite more than one as their relationship is consuming and combustible!

I think the writing is better than a similar trilogy and the characters are just as riveting. The supporting characters are absolutely awesome. I mean, who doesn't want to be or associate with people like the sassy roommate or the brash older friend and her younger artist. LOVE IT!!! Of course, this explains why there have been several offshoots from this trilogy.

UPDATED 4/2022:
I'm at it again. Adding audio this time, having read the series at least a couple of times.

Again, I have changed things up and borrowed the audio from my local library. I must say, Sofia Willingham sounds EXACTLY as I've imagined Nikki all of these years. She does a good job with Damien but it's not as I expected him to sound.

Story: 5 stars
Narration: 4 stars

UPDATED 7/2023:

J Kenner Stark Saga bk 02 Claim Me

I love this trilogy turned saga turned Stark world. I think anyone who likes erotic contemporary romance / erotica with a storyline that drags you in should give this series a try. The characters are fantastically written, whether they are ones to love, like or want to squish like a bug.

...I see the fire in his eyes, and I know that right then his violent, fiery temper is one- hundred percent aimed at vindicating me.
-- Nikki Fairchild

I again borrowed a copy of the audio book. The narrator is again / still Sofia Willingham, and I still think she was a fantastic choice to voice Nikki Fairchild. Damien Stark... needs a male narrator if this series is ever re-recorded.
