Set in the 1960s, it seemed like a pretty accurate depiction of that time in the USA. Except for the magic and witches and so forth...πŸ˜†
The story felt like a much more detailed mix of Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew. I like these kinds of stories and I enjoyed this graphic novel as well. 😊

Look, full transparency, I’m giving it 5 stars because I wrote it. I do think it’s objectively pretty good though, especially considering it was my first book, and, as it turns out, writing books is hard.  Plus Drew nailed the art. 5/5 for the art alone.

This was a fun paranormal mystery set in the 60s. I loved the art style and I'm always going to be a sucker for a found family. It gave real Scooby Doo vibes too which I'm here for.

It gives you an old time feel but with relevant points. Hardy Boys but with magic! It's very charming and sweet with magic and, mystery, and found family. The adoptive family dynamic is heartwarming, chosen family that will do anything for each other.

A quick, very satisfying read I found through a Storygraph recommendation. Clearly, this app knows me well by now. ;) It took me a few pages to get into the story. But once I was familiar with the protagonists, I was hooked! I loved the way the artist played with monochrome color palettes and the witty banter in the dialogue. The storyline was simple, but the suspense was real! Definitely going to pick up #2 in the series.
