I enjoyed catching up with Holly - a character I have always enjoyed. I know there are several King fans who are not fans of Holly, but I find her to be clever, refreshingly plain spoken, and honest. King is able to capture the fear and frustration of the pandemic without it becoming the focus of the plot. I was especially thankful to see Holly’s friends relatively safe and happy compared to previous novels.

Another great novel from King but ultimately was just too dark for me. I really enjoyed the beginning but I felt as if the main plot just wasn't fleshed out enough (no pun intended). ✈️

Been a long time since I read a Stephen King novel and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I could have done without reliving the COVID-19 memories tbh though. I do want to go back and read more about Holly's timeline though and I'll probably read the Mr. Mercedes series as well.
