Okay, wow. I don’t even really know where to begin. This is, in my opinion, by far the best book in the entire series. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and it very much so kept me on my toes just from the first chapter. It was action-packed, it was dramatic, it was powerful, and there were many twists that I couldn’t anticipate: Clarisse and Silena, Rachel Dare, Luke and Kronos, Hades and Poseidon, Ethan, Lady Hestia, the Prophecy, Luke’s mother, the ending! There was less predictable turns and more left turns out of nowhere in this book than the rest of the series combined and that screams both progress and power on the author’s part. I’m still kind of reeling over this entire book to be honest, what a wild ride. It was so worth it to read the rest of the books, if only to get to this one [I loved the other four also though not going to lie]. This is a five out of five, it earns an honorary spot on the ‘top reads’ shelf.

5/5⭐️ this was my favorite by far, I’m actively speechless from smiling so much at the ending, it was heartbreaking and suspenseful and prophecy driven to get there but they did it, I love this book series, I can’t believe I didn’t read it sooner

Pros

1. Perfect end to the series. It wraps up almost every question and poses some new ones that are a fantastic segwey into the second series. All in all a fantastic conclusion.

2. Character development was perfect. I loved the way Annabeth and Percy finally get together and everything was natural and it wasn't forced in the way some writers do. I loved Tyson. He was just this bundle of comedic relief in amongst everything going on and his character was so adorable I spent half the time wanting to hug him. PEANUT BUTTER!!!

3. I liked the action and the pacing of this book. It was again a very quick read but all the Percy Jackson books are so I expected nothing less.

4. The writing as usual was on point as I have come to expect from Rick Riordan. A very satisfying end to the series and was glad that all my expectations for this book were met.

Cons.

1. I actually don't have any for this book. It was one of those lovely wrap ups to a series that you can't really fault. All in all the only thing that upset me about this book was the fact that it's over.

I forgot how much of the book is just the battle. Still can't remember how the dragon got to the camp.
