Lenni and Dante were scorching.

Despite his god-awful taste in music (sorry, not a BSB fan), Dante was the perfect book boyfriend. The way he protected those he cared about, was a loyal and loving friend—even his growly possessiveness—he was delicious.

Lennon was unexpected.
I mean, I knew it would take a special woman to bring the famous Carmel Casanova to his knees but... she was so much more than just a pretty face.
She was kind, humble (something which D is NOT), generous, caring, and smart. She definitely gave him a run for his money.

The suspense in this book was INTENSE. From the beginning, it is clear she was scared of something.
As the book progressed, you got more and more glimpses at the cause of this fear—as well as her background—and it all culminated in a harrowing situation.

Can Dante do his job as a bodyguard?
Or will he lose the only girl to capture his heart?

Grab this book to find out!
5+ stars.
A top read of the year.

I loved this book! Lenni and Dante were perfect. Their chemistry was great and I LOVED the suspense element in this one. Can’t wait for book three!

As a suspense romance reader, I really enjoyed this book. Dante was definitely a character, and I enjoyed him immensely. From his boy band love and all things 90s, to his caring and alpha male side. He saw Lennie, knew he wanted her, but also knew he couldn't mix business with pleasure...or can he? I like that he doesn't always give in, and does have a bit of a temper at times, and not afraid to let his feelings show.

Lennie is running from something, but she doesn't know what. She just knows she needs protection, and here comes Dante to save the day. Lennie doesn't like help, and doesn't know who to trust. She slowly comes around though, and doesn't mind putting Dante in his place.

The story flowed well, and I enjoyed reading it. Will definitely read the next in the series too once it's out!
