Didn't vibe with the writing style - it felt like a summary of the action rather than being in it. Also was not convinced that there would be more nuance added in later/no ideas that would be worth skim-reading to get to. If you're desperate for more climate fiction then go for it? but I don't think it's worth reading over any other climate fiction.

I was interested in the original characters in this book, but the author lost me as the book meandered around. I never felt like there was a point. I liked the idea of following the ecocatastrophe through time, but just couldn't maintain interest. Also, I felt like the bees were false advertising, only appearing in one little section.

This is a look at the world as we continue on the path of climate change. Interesting way the author weaves the story through different character accounts.

My thoughts on Clade can be found here on episode 43 of the Write and the Critic podcast:

http://writerandcritic.podbean.com/e/episode-43-the-well-and-clade

As Earth's environment declines, people continue to live their daily lives as best they can, managing and adapting to the dangers and difficulties caused by climate change. Adam and Ellie struggle to keep their relationship together while raising their daughter Summer. Later Summer has her own challenges raising her son Noah. The story unfolds through alternating perspectives, spanning decades, with all the pieces connecting to make a powerful story of hope and survival.
