Boyyyy.

The general  ethics of this book is so wrong. And completely selfish.  But besides that, it was okay for the first half. And then, at the second half, it was just plain boring.

This should not have been labelled as a romcom, because it was more comedy and less of a romance. We barely see a reason why they didn’t have a romance in the first place, and we were just told this information. Anyway, it was poorly developed.

I love children, but I did not enjoy these two. And when I say I love children, I really mean it. I am a kindergarten teacher and I love my little baby nephews. So when I say I did not like these children, it is a big deal.

Boring and annoying characters, barely even a plot and poorly developed.

There should be the two kids on the front cover of this book bc they stole the show. And rightfully so I might add. They were a hoot and you just want to love them just like Will and Emmy did. I really didn't like Emmy at the beginning but she shed her... frivolousness? Then she was cool. I didn't understand why they didn't come to the decision at the end sooner (I didn't think anything changes, they just decided it was a feasible option for some reason). Obviously the right choice but the way they came to it was abrupt. I might have missed something as I was listening to this. The audio book was entertaining and the kids were hands down my favorite part.

Better than the other romance I finished today (Boy Next Door by Meg Cabot). This was a great light read with special moments sprinkled with the adults and with the kids. I also liked the main characters, staff’s relationships, and including the kids’ points of view. I enjoyed this.

Very cute and fun! Less of a romance than a family story but definitely a good read

Just want getting into the premise and seemed like less of a romance and more of a family movie with orphans?

dnf @ pg. 28. admittedly, i purchased this book based on its cover without truly reading the summary (a bad habit of mine but i love just jumping into books without everything spoiled in the synopsis) and didn't realize it involved children. after skimming some reviews, i realized this wasn't going to be for me with the way the characters seem to manipulate the kids. i was hoping for something similar to never fall for your fiancé which i adored and am painfully waiting for november for the last installment but this is not going to hit the mark for me unfortunately

I think the romance between the stable boy and the ladies maid was better represented in this book over the main couple. The FMC gaslights her partner multiple times throughout the book. They just one day realize, that after 8 years of marriage, they do love each other. I'm not sold.
