The premise is honestly kind of dumb and the writing is not my favorite. Also the ending was quite predictable and felt like it came to an abrupt stop at the end. All neatly tied up with a little bow.

I had a problem from the get go with this book. The MC is totally self absorbed and doesn’t understand how her actions affect those around her. She is very single minded in that she wants to keep her familial estate regardless of the cost. Her lies and deceit are taken to the extreme when she convinces her husband to “borrow” two kids from an orphanage. Yuck! There is some redemption in the end. Also it’s more of a family story than a love story.

One of the most charming books I've read in a really long time. Rose and George are too adorable, and this would make a fantastic Hallmark movie.

Not a bad book, but definitely not the romance it claims to be.
