We are once again back with gang at Fortnums, A used bookstore and coffee-house, owned by Indy (Rock Chick).
WARNING:SPOILERS
Before I get into this review I wanted to sat that Jet isn't one of my favourite Kristen Ashley characters. I have a love/hate relationship for this character. Sometimes I love her but others she is incredibly annoying.
Jet is new to the Rock Chick world, she was not introduced to us in the original story. She works at Indy’s bookshop/coffee-house as well as being a waitress at a strip club in order to provide for her ill mother whom she cares for. The other employees and the Fortnum gang don’t really know who jet is as she is reserved and quiet, unlike many of the other characters. She is a wonderful daughter, friend, employee and is the type of person who will do anything for anyone.
Jet is resistant to Eddie which is a usual theme in the Rock Chick books. In Jet's case I understand why. Jet has an outlook on life that is downtrodden, when something bad happens its ‘oh nothings new’, so it is easy to see why she would be resistant to Eddie.
However many good qualities Jet has she totally sucked at being Eddies girlfriend. As this is a Romance story we can expect a happy ending but with Kristen Ashley the road to get there is filled with potholes, Jet creating a lot of them. She had no communication skills with Eddie and ran at any opportunity she had. Who would run from Eddie Chavez? Lee set the bar on the hotness scales with Rock Chick but Eddie Chavez is by no means lacking. He was the perfect Kristen Ashley Hero and almost became a real breathing person.
“Don’t ignore me while I’m trying to break up with you!” – Jet, Rock Chick Rescue
“Everyone’s got their hands out waitin’ for you to take one. You gotta learn when to take someone’s hand before you fall.” Eddie, Rock Chick Rescue.
Eddie is another alpha male, badass. It seems to be a requirements that to be in the Rock Chick group the men must be a smoking hot badass'. Eddie is linked to the Rock Chicks as he grew up with Lee Nightingale and became his best friend. He is also a police officer alongside Lee’s Brother, Hank. He is the perfect boyfriend, taking on Jets troubles and not just the dangerous ones her father bring but her mothers rehabilitation from her recent medical issues. Eddie isn’t without his faults though, he has a very short fuse.
Once again we are treated to another action packed love story with the Rock Chicks and Hot Bunch taking us on the roller-coaster ride with them. If it was not for Eddie being paired with Jet she would have driven me completely insane. I loved her some of the time but found she was living in her own head. She lived her life in her own little world and didn’t look beyond until Eddie forced her to. She couldn’t see who she was or what others saw in her. I just wanted to shake her and make her see sense. She is definitely a heroin that tries your patience.

I read the first book in the Rock Chick series, Rock Chick, several months ago, and although I gave it 4 stars and I enjoyed it, it just didn't set my world on fire like most of the other KA books I've read. Well, I'm so glad that I decided to give the series another chance because I loved Rock Chick Rescue! Eddie and Jet are a great couple, and I'm really enjoying reading about these quirky, strong Rock Chick women and their uber alpha Hot Bunch men! Like all of KA's books, I didn't want it to end! Will be reading the rest (probably back to back) asap!

This book makes me laugh 🫣 when they thought jet was racist and her mom and dad were like…. But all you date are Hispanic men BESTIE YEEEESSSS!!!! Her dad is a POS though but it’s all about the plot 😁😁😁 absolutely loooooove reading this one! It’s not a rock chick book unless Smithie asks you if you dance

6-16-20: it’s wild that these early booksbooks don’t have epilogues abandon just jump into the next story. I forgot how early Daisy came into the Rock Chicks
Rock Chick Rescue begins when Eddie finally starts making his intentions with Jet clear. The problem is Jet is not good with hot guys, and totally creates a strange situation with him. And it gets worse when some crazy crap starts happening in her life that brings in Nightingales men and the Rock Chicks.
Jet will do anything she can to keep them out of it, and take care of things herself. However, Eddie isn't going to have that, and she's going to be his woman sooner than she thinks. It's going to be one hella ride.
The second book in the Rock Chick series has a girl-next-door type with attitude and kick ass name! Jet is the type of woman who is used to taking care of herself, and of everyone around her. When Eddie steps up to take care of her problems, and bring her into the fold things get complicated.
Eddie and Jet were a great couple. Eddie was a very fierce alpha male cop who was going to do his best to get Jet anyway he could have her. And Jet was the type of woman who isn't going to stand for that even though she's super nice.
This book was filled with lots of crazy action, a hot headed cop, crazy friends and family, and a great romance! This one just adds more flavor to this already awesome series.
I'm not sure this one is better than the first book in the series, but it is just as good. It makes you want to keep reading this series to see how much better it's going to get.

Light and full of action, this is the story of shy, dependable Jet and tough, competent Eddie.
Jet starts out with a lot of issues, an inferiority complex, abandonment issues and too many responsibilities with little support. She thinks she has to take care of everything by herself and has trouble letting people help her, even when she really needs it. She is obstinate and hard-headed and leads Eddie on a merry chase.
Eddie on the other hand is determined and once he realizes that she's not indifferent to him he presses every advantage he has and refuses to let her push him away again.
Fast paced and featuring a number of interesting characters, this was a very enjoyable audiobook and I'm looking forward to Hank's story in the next one, [b:Rock Chick Redemption|9799572|Rock Chick Redemption (Rock Chick, #3)|Kristen Ashley|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1409609236s/9799572.jpg|14689744].

Kitap boyunca böyleydim;

İlk kitap bana çok boş gelmişti ama bunu sevdim. Artık Hank, Darius, Vance, Mace'in de kız bulma vakitleri geldi :D Hadi bakalım.
