Taken for what it is, a play not directly written by JK Rowling, this was good. A lovely return to adored characters and setting.
This book came in the mail yesterday and I sat down and read it through to the end. It's fun. Not brilliant. But fun for those who love these characters. I wish it had been another novel rather than a play.
Well, for starters it's not a Potter read. Though it has all its nice moments of friendships, father - son bondings, and chance for all of us to meet the old characters back, it does not reflect the spirit of Potter books. It has heavy dramatical constructions at lot of places. In my honest opinion, it is not the eight book in the series.

Un libro completamente innecesario. Con una trama cliché que aboga por la nostalgia, lo mejor es considerar este libro como no canon por ser intrascendental. El libro a pesar de eso se puede disfrutar por la magia y la nostalgia pero hasta ahí.
it's still bad, just mildly more enjoyable when reading with a friend and you can make fun of it.
it feels like an abandoned drarry fic that turned into a scorpio/albus fic, which is terrible for several reasons but most importantly, none of the characters are actually characterized well. everyone feels foreign to who they actually are.
better off reading any other harry potter fic. you'll have a better time.

I have no words that will fully express how much I didn't like this book.
As with all plays I am sure this is better watched than read but I thoroughly enjoyed this new leg of the Harry Potter series.
