This gave me Harlequin Presents vibes, in the best way! One minute I was reading a few pages to see if I wanted to keep it on my TBR, because these types of stories are hit and miss, and next thing I knew I’d finished the book. 😂

Downtrodden but they can’t take her courage FMC (Elika)
+ the snobbiest rich MMC (Dean) that took me about 50% of the book to warm to, but he was humbled and grovelled
+ villains who needed a good slap like nobody’s business (especially Elika’s bitchy cousin a.k.a. Dean’s wrong fiancee)
+ Elika having a lot of people on her side at the end
= my personal catnip.

I think I have a new go-to author for these types of soapy storylines!
