In attempt to escape her cheating ex boyfriend Sara makes the big move to New York. At her best friends bachelorette party she meets a handsome stranger. They fool around a bit but it was never supposed to turn into something more.

Alright, this is the second book in the Beautiful bastard series and it’s just as spicy as the first one. Although they’re very different. Sara and Will have an arrangement, every Friday they meet up in different public places to hook up. It’s their thing. I know it sounds weird but it kind of works. Although I’m permanently scarred by the library scene.

Max is funny, very flirty and British. I mean who doesn’t love a man with an accent. I like that the characters from the first book comes back and that you get to see more of hot their relationship evolved.

I just have to mention one other scene that was to funny. At one point they got into a cab and the drivers comments had me laughing out loud.

No Alpha male here... really... it was just an okay read for me. Loved Sara's receptionist and the appearances of Chloe and Bennett from time to time, but the man always running around to please her once a week because of her insecurities and self-discovery? Meh... The book entertained me, but I was hoping there was more back story on Max.

The fallout from when his bag was stolen was weak at best. As much as I wanted to love this book, I just can't because it doesn't hold me like many others did, do, and still do. Max and Sara just aren't memorable to me like Chloe and Bennett were.

Not to say that someone else won't enjoy this book and this is just my opinion. Take it for what you will.

This book was very steamy. There wasn’t much depth to it and it was mainly about exploring each other in the bedroom. Listened on audio and it was pretty good, quick read.

The second book of beautiful bastards was ok!
In this book Sara is trying to restart life in New York after a very failed relationship and she meets Max in a nightclub. Apparently, the world is very small and Max is an investor that is very good friends with Sara's bff's fiancé.
That's it.
They kind of get together, start a relationship and of course at the third act there is a little problem that could have been huge, but the authors were feeling happy when they were writing this so it was just a little bump in the relationship without much consequence.
This book is steamy with a lot of voyerism, and don't get me wrong. It was quite entertaining, but it felt very forgetful. As a palate cleanser between the several fantasy books that I was reading, it worked well enough.

I would have said i loved that this book did not include my most hated misunderstanding trope right before he lost his things esp the sd card and i was screaming in my head right there and then and had to stop reading cause i hoped this book's trivial thing is just that, carelessness. But they have to add the misunderstang too after that, tho it is just a short few pages but man i hated that. I would have givem 4 stars solely bec of that. But i loved the book overall, how mature they seemed to me with communicating with each other but i guess being hurt really does number to a person, i understood sara and feel so much for max that time, cause how could sara be the one breaking his heart. But yes we had that.

Quick Hitters
Dual POV (Max and Sara)
Friends-With-Benefits
British Playboy
Secret Relationship
Book 2 in the series but can be read as a standalone

Quick Summary
Sara just moved to New York City to work with her best friend Chloe (we met her in Beautiful Bastard). During a night out, Sara meets a charming man and they hook up at the club they are in. But, a no strings attached random hook-up may not quite be what happens when Max spots Sara at work…

Thoughts/Feelings
I really enjoyed thisbook, possibly not as much as Beautiful Bastard just because I don’t think I was quite as invested in the characters, but overall it was a spicy, light read that was great for listening while working on some other stuff. I will say the spice was realllly well written but i don’t know this book just lacked something that I can’t quite pin.
