This is the only book I’ve read that I prolonged finishing because I knew the direction it was going and could not deal with the heartbreak. I get so involved emotionally with characters and the ending was a lot for me.

Even though I know it’s not Violet’s fault, I can’t help but blame her. I guess I just needed to for me to properly end the book.

For a young adult book very important topics, such as mental health, suicide, grief and difficult relationships are navigated with skill and accuracy.

Theodore Finch is one of the most beautiful characters and the final few chapters were heartbreaking but with purpose.

A good book if you’d like to follow the development of a meaningful relationship, and then have a good cry.

Great book but
has a really sad ending
Violet grows as a character so much and Finch almost does but then
dies
