This book is complicated to me. I loved it in the beginning and up until the end. I loved the concept of a suicidal person saving someone else and giving them hope to live! <spoilers> It was the end that put me of, I don’t know but it was to fast and I cried I did but not as much I thought I would. I honk the death of Theo was to fast and not written out as emotional. But it might also be because I didn’t read it in one sitting. It is still a book that was good to read and it were nice quotes in it. It got one thinking!
Took me 8 hours and 45 minutes.

This was a truly beautiful and heartbreaking book. Some parts were incredibly difficult to read but it was done in such a way you understood why. As taboo and often too stigmatised subjects of grief, mental illness and suicide were covered in such a raw way protrayed by Violet and Finch's experiences. It was foreshadowed from the start how Finch's story would end and even though you thought he would get the help he needed. But even the love he had between Violet wasn't enough but he tried so hard for so long.
