Hey, Queen! Girl, you have done it again, constantly raising the bar for us all and doing it flawlessly. I’d say I’m surprised but I know who you are. I’ve seen it up close and personal. Girl, you make me so proud, and I love you.

LOVE LOVE LOVE

what can i even say about this book other than I absolutely loved it and we already have a book for my best of 2022 shelf—and we're only two days into the year. this definitely ranks in my top 3 mz books; luna and the lie and kulti are still my top two (and in that order), but this one is a very close third!!

I've read several books from the author now, and it is exactly what you'd expect. The good part, that made me read it, was the family and friendship dynamics, but the romance part was really underwhelming. All her characters love the same guy: this tall, much older, muscled, moody and rude guy who doesn't have much friends or hobbies (maybe watch tv together only) and doesn't talk much. The love is built on things the guy does for her, and he loves her because she is Good (puts up with rudeness). She says how she doesn't want her guy to have more than 10 exes or he'd be a slut and she'd be jelaous of those exes, and he charms her with promises of commitment amongst the first words of romantic interest, after which they almost immediately do the thing, which is also described almost the same from book to book, and then there's the epilogue with babies on the way a few years later. It's like I read the same story for a fourth time with some side characters a bit different.

Racist, sexist, and the kicker - victim blaming a domestic violence victim. Absolutely not.

Dallas. Walker. Another slow burn page turner. MZ is something else.

Read: 2 times

The slowest burn that was just a little too slow for me. I wish we’d gotten alternating POVs with Dallas.
