Still enjoying these. The plot of this book was probably my least favorite of the tv series, because I don’t like it when the crew is split up. But that may be because it wasn’t explained well why they were split up, other than Naomi, and because none of them seemed much worried about each other. The book did a much better job with that, so I ended up not minding it. And I’m excited to be just about to where the tv series left off!

(Also, it was such a random, minor detail, but Amos eating his food wrapper because he couldn’t find a trash can was about the most psychotic and most Amos thing that has happened in the series.)

They finally got it right. There were a lot of good things about books 1-4 in this series, but there were also annoying things, especially about how they wrote women. But this one here, book 5, is perfect. I loved everything about it.

This was my favorite Expanse book so far. It was SO heavily focused on character. There was still action, but much less of it than in previous books, and we really got to delve into the minds of all the Roci crew.
