As always, a fun read, but the story felt like it was overly condensed. There's a lot here that would have easily filled another 2-3 books. We got the sparknote version.

I really enjoyed that the characters are separated in this one, and the way we get to spend time with everyone. Finished this and immediately wanted the next book but now I have to *wait*. Unbearable.

I really enjoyed that this one diverged from the previous books in splitting up the crew for nearly the entirety of the book and gave us all of their perspectives and no one else's. While the series is about much more than just the crew of The Rocinante, they are the heart and soul of the series and to let us delve that much deeper into all of them was really worth it. As always, the interstellar politics are just top notch as well.
