Years ago I would never have dreamed of reading a book like this but so glad I’ve mellowed and was willing to try it, a wonderful book about family, love, grief, forgiveness, with a dash for of magic. Beautifully written with great characters. I wish I could try Anna Kate’s cooking.
Such a fun and cute story! I felt like it needed to be longer or spread out differently. Maybe I was just wanting more of the magic of the story. :)
I finished this audiobook early this week and loved every minute of it. It was a magical story about a woman and her family who bake magical pies that let you get messages from your deceased loved ones. It was the perfect element of whimsy that I needed as a palate cleanse in my reading regimen. I gave it 4 stars and am really hoping this turns into a series as I loved the characters and the plot and just want more magical time with them.

Just read it. Read this book!!!! Ah, it was SO GOOD! There are a lot of characters, but they don't get lost or feel like "fillers". The small town feel comes through. The charm of the south comes through in a way that isn't cliche... or maybe it is, but in the absolute best possible way. It felt so genuine. Just a touch of magic, which I say, is also part of life in the south. I feel bad for sleeping on this book for so long, I bought it when it first came out, but just now got around to reading it.
