Viktor Vetrov took Rosalie when they annihilated her family.  For three years he has kept her in his home, hoping one day she would see him the way he sees her but when she turns twenty one she leaves.   Now Rosalie is in danger, not knowing that her family had a debt still owed and she will be the sacrifice.  Regretting leaving Viktor he comes for her, but will he save her in time?

This one was good, but not my favorite in the series.   I was always intrigued with Viktor and wanted to see where his story would lead.  I felt for Rosalie, it was seeing her character grow and come full circle with understanding what all happened with her family.

Viktor’s book was the one I was waiting for the most while reading the series. Since the initial kidnapping in the first book, each book teased glimpses of their relationship. So I was super excited, starting the book! Viktor, the son of Demitri and Ariana (Tears of Betrayal), was everything, and his possessive feelings for Rosalie were pure perfection. The pacing of their relationship, where Rosalie took her time despite her emotions, was superb. Viktor and Rosalie formed an incredible pair, and honestly, I needed more pages. The book ended too soon, making Viktor my absolute favorite. Ugh, how I wish I could be captured by this sinner.

Rosalie and Viktor's story is a beautiful written love story that isn’t all hearts. This is a twisted kidnapping of Rosalie not once but twice.. Their is so many twists and turns that secrets come out after her second kidnapping. Viktor had Falla in love with her once later eyes on her and waited 3 yrs to try to win her love and safety.

Viktor and Rosalie finished the series off perfectly!
I’m sad the sinners series is over but the ending was phenomenal.
As the leader of the Bratva Viktor gets on his knees for no one… well no one besides Rosalie.
Viktor never once goes back on his words of letting his little rose go at 21 to discover herself, and that spoke volumes about his love for her. And the puppy?! Oh my. Rosalie knew she loved him but didn’t know if it was true love or just because he kidnapped her and that’s all she knew.
This story was phenomenal.

The final instalment was really good, of course we first caught a glimpse of Rosalie way back in book 1 and knew that victor was keeping her captive. I think if i could have had more of anything it would have been a slow softening between the 2 over the course of 3 years.. 3yrs is a LONG time and for her to not develop any real relationship with victor and still be stubbornly holding onto hurt that didnt really need to be aimed at victor (because he didnt physically kill her family) was a bit frustrating. I would have liked to see them slowly fall in love but for him to still have offered her the freedom she needed and for her to still take the opportunity as she did to find herself.
I did enjoy the story and the entire series. It was so nice to have that short epilogue 11yrs later and know they are all happy raising their families. ❤️

⭐⭐⭐ It was okay, ignoring the issues for a fun read (average not a standout)

This was a mediocre book for me but it was still a fun time and had all the elements I enjoy from MH. The MC's lack depth but also thing that is an issue for me with capture/captive romances is that a lot of the time they are very insta lovey and lack development. The angst was lacking but the plot and spice was good. I really don't have a lot to say because I was underwhelmed by this book.

Tropes: age gap, captor/captive, mafia
Triggers: Abuse, Violence, Torture, Murder
