i'm very glad i decided to give this book a chance. it was so beautifully written that despite its tiring-at-times plot i was excited to continue reading.

Interesting, thoughtful, and beautifully written mystery. I guessed two major twists very early on, but I still enjoyed the journey the protagonist goes on to discover and come to terms with those twists. I was a little disappointed with the ending, though the historical context is fascinating and Seol's last scene was excellent.
