I love this series. I put off reading this installment for way too long but finally picked it up as the latest miniseries installment just aired on BBC. Wanted to make sure I'd read the book before watching the series. Can't wait! The last 3 were so good and the casting was spot on.

This 4th book in the series was one of the best and it was great to be back with Strike and Robin. Read this while nursing my baby and it kept me company through the days and nights. Also, finished it just in time to pick up the latest addition - book 5 was released the day after I finished book 4 so no waiting!

Love this series, not much more to say.

Decent Mystery, but the storytelling felt too dragged. You could spot the will they won't they kind of cliches and someone interrupting just before something is being revealed to the reader. The book didn't need to be this long honestly, and this time unlike the others, the detours into London were nowhere as fun

"Lethal White" marks a striking return to form for Robert Galbraith, undoubtedly the strongest entry in the Cormoran Strike series since "The Cuckoo's Calling." Packed with a thrilling mystery, complex character development, and intimate exploration of the protagonists' lives, this novel seizes your interest from the first page and doesn't let go.

Alighting on a strong opening at Robin Ellacott's wedding, the book captivates the reader with an immediate sense of tension and unease delivered through effective storytelling. Rowling’s portrayal of a deteriorating relationship between Robin and her husband, Matthew, elevates the level of drama and intrigue. The progression of Robin and Strike’s professional relationship, evolving to a salaried partnership, enriches the dynamic duo's narrative.

As the plot thickens with the introduction of the suffering Billy Knight and the mysterious Jasper Chiswell, the reader is drawn into an intricate web of blackmail, politics, and murder. The strength of the novel lies in its plot complexity, exploring both the personal and professional lives of the characters. "Lethal White" brilliantly weaves these narrative threads, reinforcing the notion that the personal and professional cannot be easily separable.

Robin's role as an undercover investigator breathes life into the story, offering edge-of-the-seat moments that add to the narrative tension.
Galbraith exhibits exceptional skill in detailing Robin’s character, presenting her traumas and triumphs in a tangible, empathetic manner. The book also delves into Strike's life, making him more relatable and intensifying the bond between the characters and readers.

The shocking revelation of Chiswell's death, the intricacies of the blackmail plot, and the pursuit of justice present an engaging narrative that keeps the readers hooked till the end. The discovery of a potentially priceless art piece depicting lethal white syndrome in the Chiswell property further escalates the narrative intrigue.

Galbraith excels in the final act, resulting in an intense and satisfying climax sprinkled with startling revelations. The rescue of Robin from darkest danger by Strike makes for a heart-stopping denouement.

"Lethal White" is not just an immersive detective thriller; it's a masterfully nuanced exploration of human relationships, professional challenges, and the pursuit of justice. With compelling characters, an intricate plot, and a sense of unresolved anticipation, it leaves the reader eagerly awaiting the continuation of Cormoran Strike and Robin Ellacott's adventures. Galbraith truly outdoes himself in this riveting tour de force.
