Like other reviewers had said, and I should have listened, I wish I could try this again but really space out each of the four sections.

Because I didn’t, the repetitive nature of time timelines went from clever to grating.

The characters were incredibly comical and despicable, and the world was so insular yet vibrant. Once I finished, this made me want to see how it translated to an anime - but book wise it was just fine, for me.

[3.5] What a strange book. I see why it would work so well as an anime, and would probably have enjoyed it more in that format.

I saw this in a bookstore and the cover was so beautiful I could not get it out of my head. It had such strong Cowboy Bebop energy it was impossible to escape. So when I saw it as an audiobook on Hoopla I leaped at the opportunity.

I didn’t care much for any of the characters. Also, when I read chapters back to back instead of spacing out the universes I had a worse experience.

It was a cool setting but sometimes the repetition, especially of phrases that were restated WORD FOR WORD, got grating.

I’ve never watched Groundhog Day so the premise intrigued me. I loved the exploration of the different clubs and honestly the overall vibe and strange antics really carried this.

Also, I was typically in a good mood before listening to this so I approached it with a more upbeat attitude than I usually would have. I really don’t care for main characters like this and it worked better when I didn’t try and think of it as a romance at all.

The translator’s note was so wholesome, I’m happy they succeeded! And it’s cool that the author worked on all the chapters at once.

DNF 30 pages

The main character is an absolute doofus making foolish decisions and I could not read an entire book with him as the lead. Why the gods would set the poor girl up him or his worse friend is beyond me. The writing style was also not to my tastes.
