Maybe closer to a 3.5? Interesting universe, almost wish it had been full length instead of a novella for more history.

This was an absolute blast! Surprisingly rich in world building and interesting characters, especially for a novella. It was also way funnier than I expected it to be, which was a pleasant surprise.

I had a great time with this book initially, but towards the end is started to slow down and feel stale. Some of the choices to tie up different loose ends and solutions to the main conflicts of the book felt a bit shallow. 

I really enjoyed myself throughout the novel. It’s fun and a unique premise of a story. I wanted to know more about the Guild and the creed of assassins. I think more could have been done for world development. All in all, it was a solid book and I had fun! I just wish the ending gave more.
