I liked the book a lot, but I like the Netflix adaption even more. It is impressive how the author wrote chess games to be this thrilling and captivating, even though I wasn’t able to see these games in my head.

I enjoyed another glimpse into Beth's life- the author made it feel that each piece of her was exposed, her why's and how's there for all to read. I wish I had read this before watching the Netflix series, but enjoyed both.
