This is the final book in the trilogy. Once again J.A. Owenby captures your attention from page one. This book picks up right where the second leaves off. Owenby really paints a picture of an abusive relationship and the trauma it causes the person and those close to them. I couldn't put it down I laughed, cried and cheered Laci on, as she fought to recover from years of abuse. Reading the book you feel like you are apart of the story. Laci has great friends that have always been there for her, and along the way she meets some new ones. And yes, George is back!! Definitely recommend this book, read it you won't regret it one bit.

Wow

What an ending! I am so happy how this story ended. I am totally lost for words to explain how this affected me. I am so glad i read it

Whispers of Her is the last instalment in The Truth Series detailing Lacey's life so far. It starts with Lacey recovering in the hospital. She not only has to deal with Walker being arrested, but her delightful mom turning up too. She finds out exactly who saved her and how before being taken back 'home' with Emma. The trouble is, it doesn't feel like home any longer, and she is fed up with being treated like a child. Of course, Emma has reasons for the way she is treating Lacey, but Lacey can't see that. Instead, Lacey is in a destructive maelstrom of emotions and, to start with, doesn't even know if she wants to fight back to normalcy.

There is a hint of a love triangle in this book, although I'm pleased to say that it didn't really work out. Sorry, not sorry! Love triangles really aren't my thing! With some new characters, plus the return of some old favourites - YEY George!!! - you stick with Lacey as she tries to figure out what the hell to do next. I was a bit surprised at a bit towards the end, as I thought the sister might have made a reappearance to have her say, but she didn't (sorry, being deliberately vague so as not to spoil it for others.)

As with the first two books in the series, this was exceptionally well written, with raw and honest emotions jumping from the page. Complete with an epilogue which should keep everyone happy, this story is smoothly paced, building up to the climax. You suffer through Lacey's ups and downs and cheer her on every step of the way. As this is part of a series, you MUST read the first two books to understand what is going on. I really can't recommend this series highly enough. Absolutely brilliant.

A stunning and beautiful conclusion to this trilogy. The pain and heartbreak that Lacey felt was portrayed so realistically, I found myself feeling it with her. It was impossible not to cry and rage when she did. Watching her take back her power and gain her self-confidence was a beautiful thing. I was so proud of her for putting down the bottle and looking for a solution instead. I know first-hand the amount of strength and willpower that takes. It's obvious Lacey loves deeply and that is her strength, whether she realized it or not. The world needs more people capable of compassion and empathy. I'm so proud of her for letting herself heal and move forward. Perfect ending. I was completely blown away by this series. Everyone should read it.
