This book was very interesting. I loved the world building. The pace was great but while I would say there wasn’t a big plot story in this we got to know the world and characters and the bigger story was being set up. The two main characters weren’t really together that much so there is still a lot of stuff open to happening. I can’t wait to read on.

I just finished reading this along with the audiobook and I’m speechless. This was so good and I can’t wait till the second book comes out. I need to know what happens to Vor and Faraine.

I think TikTok was to "blame" for my discovery of the Bride of the Shadow King series. Socials can be deceiving and have led me before astray, but that was not the case with this book.

I enjoyed this book so much, it opened up a new fantasy world, something different and exciting, and then so much more. It gave political intrigues, kingdoms broken and about to be broken, hard decisions, forbidden loves, everything.

This is one of those series that won't leave my sight until I've devoured it completely <3

This one took me by surprise. The worldbuilding was actually really good and refreshing. I love high fantasy like this, which provides interesting and novel takes on oversaturated tropes. The only thing I really disliked but chose to ignore was the love at first sight, but I am hopeful the next book will be a slow burn after this ending.
