so yeah i finished this in a day but lord was it not frustrating. for a man who said he could “never forget that figure” he sure as hell did. lord it was like a third act breakup where i wish Fairie just freaking said it she needed to say.

now i KNOW its a series and more will be explained but it left me with SOOOOOOOO many questions.

i’m still gonna read on though

I really enjoyed the premise and the world is so unique. I love the Faraine has magic that is actually debilitating and basically shows up like a chronic illness, incapacitating her if she spends too much time around too many people.

The romance feels very organic even though it happens over a relatively short time, and the banter is also very good.

ENDS ON A CLIFFHANGER I liked the world and story. It held my attention. I like the world created and will read the whole series.
Serviceable as a romance but I can see readers getting bored if they do not want 3/4 of the book to be non romance and world building.

I didn't like the FMC or MC but that never detracts from enjoyment for me.
