This one was a really fast-paced and easy read which I appreciated a lot. Sometimes you just need a book that pulls you in quick and keeps moving and this definitely did that. I gave it 4 stars because while I don’t have a ton to say, I still really enjoyed it for what it was

It’s got two main tropes I always enjoy:enemies to lovers and marriage of convenience. Both were also done in a way that felt fun and not too overdramatic. I liked how the tension built between the characters without either of them being annoying or too stubborn just for the sake of it.

Also love a good dual POV. It made it way more interesting getting to see both sides of the story as everything unfolded and it helped me connect to the characters a bit more. So yeah, not super deep or complicated but a solid fantasy romance that’s great for when you want something quick and entertaining with just the right amount of tension and fantasy!

I really liked Vor and Faraine. The world building in this book was exceptional.
It is a slow burn but it wasn't boring.

I really liked the other characters, Lyria, Sul, and Hael.

I haven't read a book that had subterranean shadow under world for the troldfolk so I think that was what it made it so interesting. I can't wait to continue.
