I really liked Vor and Faraine. The world building in this book was exceptional.
It is a slow burn but it wasn't boring.

I really liked the other characters, Lyria, Sul, and Hael.

I haven't read a book that had subterranean shadow under world for the troldfolk so I think that was what it made it so interesting. I can't wait to continue.

Boy did I not expect to be so mesmerized by this story. It was everything I needed and more. I love the style, the world building and the depth of the characters. Fair warning though, it's a VERY slow burn. And I was kinda bummed to see that book 2 was not out yet (not before the end of this year at any rate) so it's a good sign that the ending left me wanting for more. This book ends on a cliffhanger.

I immediately picked up another series by Sylvia Mercedes when I was done. Definitely charmed.
