This could have been so much more. It felt at times both rushed and too slow. The relationship dynamics needed more time to develop, and the world to be more filled out. I loved the idea, and the take on Omegaverse politics, but wanted more substance.

I did enjoy this story and it was almost a 4 for me. I just felt like it needed to be a littttttle bit longer. The conflict was resolved way too quickly at the end. For people who are running a resistance I wanted there to be a little more finesse in the plan and a little more of a team ‘working together’ aspect. There also just wasn’t enough page time to get to know the characters, which is always a struggle in standalones. I do think going standalone was the right move for this story, but it could have been about 1/3rd longer to add in some more pastoral scenes to build the relationships and to include a little more tension and conflict. The writing is good and the plot is really decent (although a little contrived when we’re talking about a rebel leader named rebel). It was very obvious from the start what the identity of Prince is so I was a little surprised that she didn’t figure that out herself

“Rebel and Her Knights” is…something, to say the least.

I am a huge fan of omegaverse. There are key aspects of omegaverse that set it apart from your typical romance. These include: knots, heats, packs, bonds, etc. At face value, this is described as an omegaverse, but if you’re familiar at all with the basic aspects of this genre, then you would see right away that this isn’t entirely the case. I would actually classify this as an attempt at omegaverse, as it is missing some key elements that make it OV. Instead, it feels like the author took a relatively easy trope and wanted readers to be okay with the bare minimum.

Semantics aside, this book was all over the place. Within the first two chapters it was very obvious who the mystery man was, so there was no need to have the big reveal for the final chapter. The character developments were also messy, with some characters feeling more fleshed out than others. Unfortunately, I have no desire to continue reading the series with how this book was written.

Okay

It was okay. I've been reading a lot of omegaverse lately and this wasn't really a favorite but wasn't horrible. I just feel it was lacking

Good, but rushed

I loved this book so much, but it felt very confined towards the end. I wish Rebel's story was a duet because the first third and the middle third could have been easily extended into longer pieces. The ending also feels a little abrupt. I wanted the drama dragged out a little longer. I wanted the stakes to be higher.

Rebel is an omega I swear with Airs of an alpha. She rocks being an omega resistance leader along side her brother and a friend. When rebel went undercover she got more than she bargained for . This was a great read and kept me up all night to finish and I don’t regret it!

This was fine! Maybe 3.5 stars from me on a more generous day.

It was pretty simple and sweet, even for an omegaverse. We get only the slightest of trauma sprinkled in, and every conflict is resolved within a couple pages. The whole scope of the story takes place in under a week, basically. The MMCs are...fine, the main alpha of the pack is honestly just not a particularly likeable character even after the big twist.

Speaking of twists, there were two, and you could see both coming from a mile away. There was NOTHING suspenseful about this book, not even the beginning of the relationship which was basically instalove. There is constant teasing around the omega being dominant in the spicy scenes but we never get to really see that, not compared to some of the other dom-FMC omegaverse books I've read.

However, it's a first from this author for me and honestly it was such a quick and relatively enjoyable read that I might get sucked into the next couple of books!
