The second of the series proves nearly as engrossing as the first, with Alexia getting into more trouble and the cast of characters expanding slightly. Well-paced and enjoyable reading. My only real issue with it is the constant use of "attaining," as in "attaining the stairs" and "attaining heights." Look forward to reading more of Ms. Carriger's delightful series.
Ligero, divertido, entretenido y refrescante.
Un buen libro para pasar bien un rato. Bastante recomendable, me ha gustado tanto como el primero de la serie

This novel unfortunately started off so slooow for me. The plot focus seemed so scattered and Lord Maccon kept disappearing!! The great dynamic that I loved between Lord Maccon and Alexia from the first novel was nowhere to be found, and instead we were left with Ivy's sometimes annoying and tiresome antics and this highly suggestive and inappropriate newcomer Madame Lafroux. However, Ivy and Tunstell's awkward yet romantic courtship did provide some entertainment, but the magic that I fell in love with between Alexia and Lord Maccon was gone.
And then, that ending happened! WTF, Gail?! Everything seemed fine and dandy--mystery solved, bad guy officially stopped (for now), Alexia and Lord Maccon were FINALLY together--then BAM, that surprise came out and all sh*t hit the fan! I cannot believe Conall did what he did, and I JUST CAN'T EVEN.
Next book please ASAP.

Hát, hogy lehet valamit így befejezni?? Hogy???
Most. Azonnal. A. Folytatást!
Ahhoz képest, hogy annyira nem voltam oda az első részért, hogy el is cserélem (én marha!) ezért teljesen odáig voltam.
Bájos, vicces, pörgős, imádom!

I wasn't going to start the next book straightaway, but after this ending...*opens Blameless and starts reading furiously*
Book 1 of the series was so good! I'm not sure where things went wrong for me in Book 2. Was it the incredibly heavy handed hints about the plot "twist"? Was it just the overall tone of the book? Not sure. But I definitely didn't enjoy it as much as the first book. I'm reading the 3rd book now though, so maybe this really deserves 4 stars for keeping me interested?
