Another quick, enjoyable read. One thing I'm noticing in these books is the fact that there are LGB characters and I like how they're handled.

Not much more else to say. I'm very, very looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

2024: The entire time I was trying to remember what Conall did to make me so mad... Got to the end: "oh yeah, that'll do it" (in a Scottish accent because I listened to it this time). Also: yay

Still loving this series!!

I did eventually enjoy this the. The ending.. gah! Alexia is herself which made me keep reading through the slow beginning. Once her party is in the air things get going and I was much more interested in finishing the book.

This book took entirely too long for me to get through. That indicates how uninterested in the flight through France and time in Italy I found. The whole attraction to me is the light hearted exchange between the Lord and Lady Maccon. Take that way - and there isn't much to get me interested in the series.

In some ways, Changeless is the book that Soulless was not. We have a little more steampunk in this novel, which I felt was lacking from Soulless (this is according to the author's description of the genres covered by the book). This also had the cliffhanger ending I was looking for to make me come back to the series. I'm actually unsure as the why Carriger didn't wait to resolve the marriage issue until this book, that way we'd have both a resolution and a loose end to play with in this volume.

All in all, an excellent follow-up novel, loved the new characters. Alexia seems to really be growing into her political role and I'm interested to see how the relationship between Alexia and Connall develops.

Another fun romp in the Parasol Protectorate universe. This time, the supernatural are losing their ability to change and it's up to our plucky heroine to find out why. The character voices in this series continue to please, and I was very happy with the introduction of a new character and some more LGBTQ+ rep as well. Looking forward to the next one!

She married Lord Conall Maccon, Earl of Woolsey, a werewolf and head of the Bureau of Unnatural Registry. She, herself is one of 3 advisers to Queen Victoria along with a vampire and another werewolf. Alexia goes to Scotland to clear up these mysteries. Quite a cliff hanger ending. I would recommend having #3 on hand to continue with.

Not as good as the first book in the series, but still an enjoyable read. Some parts are very predictable, and bothersome that a bunch of points were left unsolved. Hopefully they'll be addressed in the next book.
