Pretty fun second chapter, although the cliffhanger at the end felt untrue to certain characters.

Like Soulless before it, I thought Blameless was a fun a book. I feel like I've acclimated to her writing style so the incessant trying to be funny thing doesn't bother me as much...or maybe it comes across more natural now that you've been with the characters a while, not sure. Anyway, I enjoy the series and will keep reading.

What a fun book. It is full of zany supernatural (and preternatural) shenanigans and just the right thing to take your mind off a bad day. But what a mean cliffhanger! Making me feel feelings, how could you, Ms. Carriger?

I've given book 2 the same rating as book 1 though I did find myself reading it with a little more interest. The cliffhanger ending felt a little sudden,
Spoiler even though I saw her pregnancy coming a long way ahead of the reveal
. I will persist with this series out of a curiosity to see how the overall development of characters evolves.

Uh-oh. This book suffers from a serious sequel slump. All the things that annoyed me in the first book (Ivy, Alexia's sisters) were amplified in this to make it the most irritating read ever. I thought Alexia was supposed to be smart, and yet even I could figure out who the spy was before this nincompoop. And the ending was just, don't even get me started. Seriously, Conall? It was cool to see Sidehag though!

To end on such a cliff hanger… I shall wack you with my parasol …. Onward….

Not my favourite of the series but it still holds it's own quite well. Loved seeing Vieve and Sidhaig again (I read finishing school first). the parasol is amazing though not as integral as it is in later books. I still love Alexia's personality and like the way the world is developing.
