One of my best friends loved this book and I wanted to give it a gods honest try for her sake. I feel like nothing is happening. Almost half way in and I really can’t figure out where the plot is going. Maybe I’ll come back to it one day, but I will be moving in for now.

This was a miss for me. I really wanted to like this one. It felt like it was halfway between dark romance and high fantasy and didn’t hit the mark on either. I like the MCs in theory but the mmc wasn’t quite dark/morally grey enough for the books vibe and then the world building and intrigue felt rushed and forced and confusing with the multiple pov shifts.

Weird pace, lots of typos and punctuation + grammatical errors, 0 chemistry between the MC’s, and too many characters/names/terms made it extremely confusing.
