I enjoyed this book but could not find myself relating to most themes or understanding them in a way only someone who has experienced life similarly would. Nevertheless very insightful and human. It is poetically written about girlhood, loss, love and life. Although it was a quick read for me, it is a heavy and tragic book.

The author does an incredible job at revealing the story and everything that took place through external descriptions rather than spelling it out for you.

It is 3 ⭐️s for me as I just couldn’t relate and it didn’t resonate with me in the way I believe the author intended for.
