This Book was even better than the first.
It happened nearly nothing but the fact that the reader already understood the world and knew the characters made this book truly glorious. Tahereh Mafi has an amazing writing style that pulls the reader into the story.

I had hope that this one would be better until I realized I was 90% done the book and literally nothing of interest had happened. Felt unnecessarily long.

I fear this book has fallen prey to sequel syndrome, as this was all vibes but no plot, simply bridging from book one to three. Yes there's character development and we meet a new player in Cyrus but at times I longed for some more action within its descriptive storytelling. I also forget what happened in book one and this did not recount enough that I ever truly remembered.
