Kamran pissed me off but I kinda do still like him but I’m team Cyrus anyways Hazan and omid carried all kamrans pov
This book had me staying up until 2am but only to finish reading Cyrus and Alizeh’s story. I still don’t know how I feel about Kamran, but, once I finished finding out how Cyrus and Alizeh end in this book, I went back to finish Kamran’s story which was, quite honestly, needlessly wordy and rather boring (hence the reason I skipped his chapters to start.) Also, I’m not sure that I like that the whole book takes place in just a few days. Two, three? When I look at it like that, while I’m totally here for Cyrus and Alizeh, I think their relationship could have enjoyed a longer time frame. (Then it would be more believable.) However I’m well aware sometimes there’s a need to suspend belief in reading stories, so consider mine suspended. Eagerly waiting for the third book!

I’ve been completely undone.
The chapters felt so short and I just could not get enough. Kam put me through the ringer I was so sure he turned into a Chaol for me and I would hate him for the rest of the series but the way he was slowly redeemed. His chapters started so unbearing but with the inclusion of Hazan (one of the best boys) and his little band of characters (Omid, Huda, best man Deen) his chapters became just as riveting.
Alizeh and Cyrus, god Cyrus. Alizeh continued to be someone I would protect with my life her balance between fierceness and kindness is so rapturing. And Cyrus broke me down endlessly with his torment and his lines. My god his lines had me screaming, giggling, crying, and all together out of sorts.
I’m so happy that both books so far have held up their own.

I think I’m the only one who, after finishing this book, is still rooting for Kamran. Like, I get why people want her with Cyrus—Tahereh Mafi really made him obsessed with her, and she knows exactly what she’s doing—but I just want more interaction between Alizeh and Kamran and i liked Cyrus character... He's such a complex character and I can't wait who she'll chose ...
The angst that’s coming is going to destroy me. I know for a fact she’s going to make Kamran the bad guy so Alizeh can choose Cyrus, but I’m still firmly Team Kamran. She has chemistry with both of them, though, so I understand the struggle.
Also, I can’t wait for the found family dynamic in book three with Kamran and the four. If she does it right, it will be the best.
This book is such a vibe, and the fast pacing made it even better.
