It is a build up for the third book. The last 25% were the best part.
I hope that the next book, follows that lead.

Okay the yearning in this book needs to be studied. Wow this book was amazing. I didn’t give it a full 5 stars cuz I don’t give a fuck about the prince. I literally forgot his name. Karman? Idgaf. Why does this guy have povs like idgaf. But Cyrus and Alizeh??? GIVE ME IT ALL OMG. HES SO IN LOVE W HER I LOVE IT. He’s so sad. I can fix him. Fuck his bitch ass mom. And fuck that one guy that wants Kamran dead? Suffering through the first book was so worth it. But Karmyans povs were boring af. Overall 4.5 stars.

Definitely my favorite of the released series, this book has the most character development, focusing on Kamran's turning almost into his father's tendencies, and Cyprus and Alizeh's journey and relationship together and how it affects them as people. This is the first time Alizeh has her own space to live without worry or fear, so she delves into how her future would be as queen and how to go about it. I actually got to know Cyrus as a character, which was pretty cool??? and seeing them get closer not out of desperation but more of mutual understanding was really beautiful for her and her character. I have the same pros and cons with this as the last one but it got a .75 star boost because it had really nice character development that wasn't even a thing in the first book.

I'm already tired of this series. Its turned from an enemies to lovers type plot to an enemies to lovers back to enemies while simultaneously the fmc is in another enemies to lovers plot with another mmc.
