Its crazy after I read Throne of the Fallen I was so excited for Throne of Secrets until I found out there was an original trilogy I had missed and I was so excited something in the same universe already released for me to devour? YES PLEASE! So I picked up Kingdom of the Wicked and it was okay Kingdom of the Cursed was worse and then finally the conclusion Kingdom of the Feared was okay but after I finished it I thought wow I would never have picked up Throne of the Fallen if I'd read KotW first so when Throne of Secrets dropped in October of last year I was scared what if its terrible? What if my hopes are too high? So I put it off but recently I've been reading some pretty mediocre Romantasy and finally decided I should give this a shot and oh my God it was so good!!! Like I'm not gonna pretend it's the height of literature or anything but it was such a good time and something I really liked was something I feel like we don't see a lot of in romantasy which was a sweet romance like Gabriel was so down bad for Adriana and for the most part unafraid to admit it and I just died a tiny death every time because it was so unexpected but welcome to realize not only was the author planning on delivering unique stories for each prince she's making sure they're unique characters as well because honestly I expected them to be very similar to each other since they're "brothers" and the heroine would be the variable in the book but much to my delight the story and characters were fresh and exciting and once again I'll be waiting on the edge of my seat for the next book hopefully about Pride because I'll be dammed if his story isn't making me wanna rip my hair out like what's with the wards on his lands? and he knows she's on the Shifting Isles what is he planning with all the sleepy time roots? Has he gone to visit her?! I need to knowww

Adriana was so relatable, I bet she’s a Capricorn, we’re the ice queens, and like me she thinks mentally sparring is flirting and you’re seduced by engaging in a battle of wits, is mean to men and has a talent for humbling them, attracted to intelligence, she’s smart and witty, loves solving mysteries, is stubborn, a workaholic, and her mind works in a logical way, so I loved reading about her.
‘Isn’t it odd how whenever someone has one iota of common sense, they’re called cynical?’
‘At the root of everything, I was deeply careful about who I let in for fear of heartbreak. My caution was often misinterpreted as indifference, which often alienated me more.’
